Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich

The University of Munich with is 500 years (founded: 1472) of tradition is clearly one of the most influential institutions in the whole Europe. LMU is also one of the leading research universities in the country with more than 100 areas of study.

Recently the University has undergone the revolutionary step in replacing the traditional academic degrees as Diploma and Magister Artium with the corresponding internationally accepted degrees of Bachelors and Masters apropos changing the whole program system accordingly. The Munich University offers a vast number of combinations of majors and minors in contemplating a certain area of studies.

In spite of being a highly recommended destination for students enrolled in exchange programs, Munich is also becoming an international hotspot for postgraduate degrees offering new and innovative courses taught half or entirely in English. Concurrently, students with little or no skills in German language aren’t required to learn a new language in order to obtain a degree in this country. Among the prominent areas which presently offer programs in English include several fields of psychology, physics as well as business and management.
